Genting 2012: Chin Swee Cave Temple

So we spotted some steamboat cum hotpot restaurant inside the premises of the mall and we decided anything steamboat/hotpot wouldn’t be too bad and we headed there for lunch.  Well,  it was indeed one of the better meals we had in Genting but it was the worst steamboat/hotpot I ever had.  Even I can cook up a better one!  Oh well, a steamboat/hotpot without pork is not enough! (sorry to my muslim friends)

Well, changing to the tomyum soup base from chicken soup base was a mistake.  The tomyum soup tasted like maggi kinda of tomyum.  Not spicy, just effin’ salty!

We did not have much as compared to how we would have ate in SG…

Karaoke seats were fucked up and the drinks in the package we took up were mineral water. -.-

This on the other hand, tasted so good!  It was a surprise outcome from the bf.  He bought sour plums for me in case I felt nauseous otw to genting.  He also casually threw in a few to a bottle of mineral water and after sometime, it tasted just like sour plum juice! :D

The view from our room!

What greeted me whenever I’m making my way back to the hotel room! So pretty!

We hopped on the shuttle bus (just beside starbucks) to make our way to Chin Swee Cave Temple.  After a short ride, we arrived at this serene and relaxing attraction.

Air was crisp and fresh and although there were groups of tourists yapping away, once they cleared off…the premises resumed to its serenity.

Truthfully it reminded me of Haw Par Villa because it also features the 10 courts of hell akin to HPV.   Chin Swee Temple Caves had the upper hand due to its natural environment and the fact that Genting Highlands enjoy a year round cooling temperature.  It can be a joy strolling in the greenery and ascending the steps to have a better view.

I read that we could have gone up the pagoda.  Too bad we did not think of trying if not I guess we’ll get a different kinda view altogether!

Settled dinner as well as the next day’s breakfast at some Chinese restaurant.

And that marks the end of our 3D2N Genting Highlands trip.  Next trip there had better be surrounding the casino! $$$
